Application Instructions
A Step-by-Step Guide
Before you begin:
Make sure your heat press is set to the correct temperature based on your fabric type (see instructions below).
Have a sheet of Teflon or fresh parchment paper ready.
Here's what to do:
Trim the Excess: Carefully remove the label and color bar from the transfer film. These can stick to your garment if left on. Then, use scissors to trim away any extra film around your design, getting as close as possible without cutting into the image itself.
Prepare Your Garment: Preheat your heat press to the recommended temperature based on your fabric type (see below). While it heats up, place your garment on the press and pre-press it for 10 seconds. This helps remove moisture and smooth out any wrinkles. You can also add a center fold to your garment at this time, if desired.
Important: Apply firm, even pressure during pressing.
Transfer the Design: Once the pre-pressing is done, carefully place your DTF transfer film (with the design facing down) onto your garment in the desired location.
Apply Heat and Pressure: Following the temperature and time settings for your fabric type, press the transfer onto your garment using your heat press.
Peeling and Finishing: Regular DTF: After pressing, let the garment cool completely and then peel the film off slowly. For an extra secure finish, re-press your garment for 5 seconds with a fresh layer of Teflon or parchment paper on top.
Congratulations! You've successfully transferred your DTF design onto your garment. Remember to follow these instructions for each transfer you apply.
